FSG 2023
On a bright and shiny weekend, our Formula Student team made its way to the prestigious Formula Student Germany event, not as participants but as enthusiastic visitors to experience the pulsating atmosphere of this spectacular motorsport event up close. Our adventure began with our arrival at the nearby campsite, where we set up camp next to the teams who had traveled from all over the world to showcase their engineering masterpieces. Setting up camp and firing up our own barbecue, we immersed ourselves in the sense of community that makes Formula Student so unique. The weekend gave us the perfect opportunity to connect with other teams, share experiences and celebrate the diversity of motorsport culture. Sponsors of the event contributed to the entertainment with interactive attractions, including state-of-the-art driving simulators that allowed some of our team members to put their driving skills to the test while receiving valuable feedback on their abilities.
The event itself was a spectacle of engineering and teamwork. We had the opportunity to observe the detailed proceedings of the competition up close, from the technical inspections to the dynamic disciplines that showcased the skill and dedication of the participating teams. But the event was more than just motorsport; it was a cultural event like no other. At night, the campsite was transformed into a place of conviviality and wonder: from Finnish saunas to huge mayo supplies and pools decorated with floating unicorns, every corner offered a new surprise. It was a pleasure to share our own team stickers with others, adding a little piece of our identity to the colorful world of Formula Student. The grand finale was the award ceremony, a moment where the hard work and passion of all the teams paid off. It was inspiring to see the winners receive their trophies, a truly deserved reward for their tireless dedication and ingenuity. We returned with new ideas, inspiration and a heightened passion for what lies ahead. The FSG event was a living testament to what is possible when talent, passion and team spirit come together.
